Report on the 9th Meeting of SALUS’s Parliamentary Working Group on Systemic Health Promotion
Culture, environment, research, health promotion, and increasingly integrated public policies: these are the themes at the center of the ninth meeting of the Parliamentary Intergroup on Systemic Health Promotion, held in the Cenci Hall of Palazzo Cenci in Rome and chaired by Senator Elena Murelli.
The meeting brought together representatives from institutions, the SALUS Technical and Philosophical Scientific Committee, and representatives from the worlds of culture, research, ecology, and civil society, confirming the Intergroup's vocation to build connections between fields traditionally addressed separately. In addition to the twenty-four experts present in the room, another nineteen participated in the proceedings via online link.
Fully aligned with the bridge, symbol of the SALUS initiative, and the motto " Compone et Collabora" (Compose and Collaborate), the discussion demonstrated how Systemic Health Promotion can provide a common ground for dialogue between culture, artistic heritage, ecosystem services, scientific research, innovation, and public policy. This approach transcends the logic of sectoral interventions and recognizes health as the result of the interaction between multiple biological, social, cultural, and environmental determinants.
